Before you read this review, read my review of 'the hunger games'

In the start of the book 'The Hunger Games 2' Katniss and Peeta get used the Victor Village, as well as making plans their wedding. Katniss isn't really excited about it because it is only to steer away from the threats of President Snow, and that threat is to destroy everything she loves. Things are getting bad for Katniss, Gale has been whipped, the fence has been turned on full time, there are uprisings in nearly half the districts and this is only the beginning. Just before the wedding President Snow announces the annual quarter quell Hunger Games, he says "On the seventy-fifth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that even the strongest among them cannot overcome the power of the Capitol, the male and female tributes will be reaped from their existing pool of victors". Once all trained up Katniss is on the pad/starter position and the bugle goes in 3,2,1 blooooop and she dives into water. She resurfaces at the cornucopia to find a bow and arrows. She equips them and- read to find out! It's actually quite thrilling so I wouldn't spoil it for the world, maybe. You'd know that I would never give away the best bit which in this case is half the book.

The main characters are Katniss, Peeta, President Snow and Haymitch is actually quite important in this book. Last if all, Finnick is a team member in Katniss's team. The side characters are Prim, Gale, Effie, Beetee, Johanna, Wiress, Mag and Katniss's mom.

My favorite character is Beetee because he is very smart and always has some logic in things.
My favorite bit was just after Katniss and her team had found water. And it rained some troublesome stuff on them.

Thank you for reading this review, bye!
